Shrinking The Mouse: Week in Review

Another four day week. I seriously intended to go this morning to make up for missing Tuesday and to dump my rage all over Twitter, because that’s what happens Saturday at the gym. But the weather sucked big, slushy balls today. Plus I had to be at the airport at noon and I was paranoid I’d lose track of time. I am probably going tomorrow.

No weigh-in this week. I haven’t weighed myself in a few days. Mostly because I had pizza the other night, and a hot dog for lunch today, and I’m afraid the scale will be pissy at me.

So, here’s how I proved that I hate myself this week…

Treadmill Totals = 4 hours, 12.43 miles

Stationary Bike Totals = 8 hours & 25 minutes, 94.79 miles

Total Calories Burned = 4557 (!!)

Various Weight Machines = 2100 reps

That’s a lot of work. Between all that and the fact that I’m mostly just eating fruit and vegetables and a tiny bit of other stuff, I expected this to be going faster. I’m hoping the numbers are dropping slowly because I’m replacing the fat with muscle, using the weight machines and all that.

I still don’t know if there’s really a difference. The winter coats my mom got me for Christmas feel like they fit better, but I haven’t noticed anything else getting looser. Sometimes I think I see it, but sometimes I think I see purple monkeys, too, so I can’t really trust my own judgement.

I’ve started using the treadmill on a 3% incline, which really boosts the amount of calories burned without too much extra work. I would like to spend more time on the treadmill but it’s so god awful boring. Even watching the TV or listening to music/comedy/books, it still bores me to death. At least on the stationary bike I can read. I want to get a new mp3 player with a screen that’s not bitched up like mine so I can at least watch MST3k while I walk. That would rock pretty hard.

Hopefully I get a full five days in this week. Fingers crossed.
